Inside in the darkness , beautifully preserved , domestic objects from a hundred years ago speak of the men who stayed here in brutal conditions , under hard privation .     [1st January 2017] Episode 12 I turn in at 2am , but am unable to sleep . I get up and walk the camp: the revellers have all retired to their tents . There is a profound stillness .     [9th December 2016] Episode 3 Some days of largely featureless landscape to cross before the Pole . Time to adjust to the daily realities of our situation for the next few weeks .
