"Angkor Roo - The Recycling Rooster" - Performed at UN Habitat

" Angkor Roo - The Recycling Rooster , " performed by the Bambu Stage Siem Reap puppeteers from Siem Reap , Cambodia , at the entire 6-day session of the of the 9th World Urban Forum (WUF 9) from February 7-13 in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia. The show was specially-commissioned by Ocean Recovery Alliance , entitled “ANGKOR ROO”. While the puppets and actors are based in Cambodia , Ocean Recovery Alliance is based in Hong Kong , and the performance was in Malaysia. This was a great example of international collaboration at the global UN Habitat event. The story of Angkor Roo is about a feisty rooster whose beloved hen dies from eating plastic waste disposed from the village market. He implores the Apsara god to bring her back to life.
